Banky W breaks silence after poll defeat

Nigerian singer turned politician, Bankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, has broken the silence on his recent loss in the February 25 general elections.

Recall that Thaddeus Attah, a candidate of the Labour Party, defeated Banky W of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to emerge winner of the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives.

Attah won with 24,075 votes, beating his counterparts, Mr. Olubankole Wellington (Banky W) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who had 18,666 votes, and Mr. Babjide Obanikoro of the APC, who had 16,901 votes.

While encouraging everyone who might have experienced also disappointments, Banky W declared that his election loss would not stop him from giving thanks to God.

“For anyone who’s ever suffered through a loss, a disappointment or a situation where things just didn’t work out the way you hoped… “Faith after a Fall” is for you. For me. For all of us.” He said in part.
