Manchester City transfer news and rumours: City eye Inter’s Nicolo Barella as potential Bernardo Silva replacement
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Manchester City might turn to Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella if they lose Bernardo Silva this summer.
The £50m-rated star is also coveted by Liverpool and Newcastle United, but City boss Pep Guardiola is keen to bolster his midfield following the departure of Ilkay Gundogan to Barcelona, as well as Silva’s possible exit ahead of the new season.
City are reportedly in talks with Paris Saint-Germain over the possible departure of Silva for a fee of around €100m. If the 28-year-old midfielder completes his move to the Paris, then City could make a play for Barella as an ideal replacement.
