According to reports from Sport, Manchester City have set a €50 million asking price for Joao Cancelo, amidst interest from Barcelona and Arsenal. The 29-year-old full-back is reportedly out of favour at Manchester City, therefore the club is unlikely to loan Cancelo out and would prefer a permanent deal for the Portuguese international.

However, as noted by Sport, City’s €50 million asking price has made it extremely difficult for Barcelona to acquire Cancelo, as the La Liga giants were looking for a more affordable deal. Yet all hope is not lost for Barcelona as Sport has additionally reported that the La Liga side believe they could get City to reduce their asking price if Cancelo doesn’t leave before the window closes.
