Despite working under tight financial fair play constraints this summer, Ten Hag has been able to continue rebuilding his squad this summer, and has welcomed some key, big-money arrivals to the squad, including midfielder Mason Mount, goalkeeper Andre Onana, and striker Rasmus Hojlund as the Dutchman looks to take the Red Devils’ to new heights in the new season.

New signings summer window

Ten Hag openly expressed his desire to sign a goal-scoring forward in the summer window. A new midfielder and goalkeeper were also among his top priorities.

To that end, Mason Mount became Manchester United’s first summer signing, arriving from rivals Chelsea in a highly controversial transfer worth upto £60 million ($76m), including add-ons. The Red Devils then sealed big-money captures of Cameroonian shot-stopper Andre Onana and Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund from Inter Milan and Atalanta, respectively. Veteran centre-back Jonny Evans has also returned to the club on a short-term contract.
