“Music Money Is Like Ritual”: Shallipopi Shares His 2023 Story, Narrates How He Became a Lagos Boy
Fast-rising Afrobeat star Crown Uzama, aka Shallipopi, has set tongues wagging with some revelations about his music career and humble beginnings.
Shallipopi revealed during an interview with Zero Conditions how he came to Lagos for the first time in early 2023.
When asked how he manages expectations from family members, including black taxes and billings, he said:
“I don’t care o, whenever they ask I give them.”

The young singer shared during the interview why he called the income made from music a money ritual.
He noted that he never knew there was so much money in music before going into it.
Shallipopi, who recently floated his own record label, revealed that he boarded an aeroplane for the first time in 2023, and he nearly threw up while onboard.
