Big Brother Naija, winner of BBNaija 2020, Laycon revealed why he did not talk to Erica after leaving the reality show.
Laycon, who had an argument with Erica that led to her disqualification, told the BBC that he had not spoken to her because he was too busy setting priorities and “adapting to his new schedule”.
He said: “I haven’t spoken to Erica, in fact I don’t have a phone. Everything I use now I have taken with me to make sure I am online for all these processes.
“I haven’t had time to call people yet because there are so many things I am trying to do. Between interviews I keep recording songs and I still have to sleep.
When asked if there are any plans to sit down with Erica and talk to her when he has time, Laycon said: “That can happen, but right now my priority is to adapt to the new life and move on. When I have calmed down, I will think about how to deal with the things that have happened.
The UNILAG graduate, who claimed that he was not responsible for Erica’s disqualification, said he had avoided a conversation about her “trying to kiss him” because he did not want her to take advantage of the conversation and react in a way that could have led to another strike.
“I had no idea what was going on the night before her disqualification. I just had to control how she would react, because I have the feeling that she is a wonderful person and was not herself that night.
“I would have started the conversation about the kiss if I had felt that it wouldn’t escalate to the point where it would lead to a big argument, considering that she had already had two strikes.
