Paris Saint-Germain gaffer, Mauricio Pochettino, has dislcosed that Manchester City were better than his team in the second half following their Champions League semi-final first-leg 2-1 defeat against the Premier League leaders on Wednesday night in Paris.

Pochettino also insisted that the two goals Man City scored against PSG were accidents.

Marquinhos had opened the scoring in the first leg for the French Ligue 1 Champions before Kevin de Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez scored two second-half goals to give Pep Guardiola’s men a first-leg advantage ahead of the second leg tie next week.

“I think we deserved to go into the dressing room with the advantage, but [in the] second half, they were better than us,” Pochettino told BT Sport after the game.

“They dominated. If you see [their] goals, I think they were two accidents.

“But in the end, they dominated more in the second half, and they created more than us. It was one half for each.

“With the two goals, we feel very disappointed. The players, us, everyone.”
