Some people have the perception that the rich never shed tears or go through problems because they have money. Most people believe that all misfortunes and shedding of tears are only meant for the poor but unfortunately, the perception people have is false.

Here are 3 wealthy Nigerians who have sons with health problems.

  1. Governor Yahaya Bello

Governor Yahaya has a 13-year old son who is suffering from cerebral palsy. Cerebral Palsy is a group of disorders that affect a person’s ability to move and maintain balance and posture. The governor has 3 wives and several children. However, one of his children Hayat has cerebral palsy. The family have opened a foundation which has been named after him to create awareness about the disorder.

2. Femi Otedola

Billionaire Otedola who recently shut down social media by buying his daughters Ferraris each also has a child who is his only son Fewa Otedola. The 23-year old young man is also an autistic patient. Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), refers to a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech, and nonverbal communication. The family does not hide him. They post photos of him all the time.

3. Otunba Gbenga Daniel

The son of Otunba, Adebola was born without a disorder but when he got to the age of 5, he was discovered to have paraplegia. Paraplegia is an impairment in motor or sensory function of the lower extremities. It is usually caused by spinal cord injury or a congenital condition that affects the neural (brain) elements of the spinal canal.
