In a recent video, fast-rising singer Daniel Benson, best known as Buju (now known as BNXN), expressed shock after learning that his former music manager Burnaboy rejected a whopping $5 million (N4 billion) engagement in Dubai because he won’t be able to smoke there.
Royalng reported that Burna Boy revealed during a freestyle session with the Outsiders band that he turned down the offer because of smoking “grass” is illegal in the United Arab Emirates.
In accordance with Emirati law, smoking is prohibited in all of Dubai’s parks, beaches, and other public recreational areas. Recall that it was during his freestyle that he threw a hot shade at Brymo, telling the audience to work hard so they wouldn’t “fall off” as the folk artist did.
